If this were not so we would not grow toward enlightenment as we would have no relative experience to guide us there. True love exist only in terms of karmic experience in this case, which leads us to higher consciousness.

Misconception 2: We are all here to ultimately experience love and oneness, (only partly true) and materialism is not important. Wrong!

Why not?

All things are God. This means God is all things: hate, love, bad music, the second world war, beauty and ugliness, pain and joy, oneness and separateness, you and me, the conscious and the subconscious, taxes, marriage, cucumbers, and ice cream: everything without exception! If we, and everything else, are connected in oneness, then this is the only truth there can be, and we are all not meant to experience the same things. If we were all meant to experience the same things that would seriously hinder the infinite possibilities for the “God-thing” to manifest itself.

This means none materialism, love and oneness are things not all of us are meant to experience. Perhaps ultimately this is indeed God’s goal: but for now it does not seem that all people understand, or have even experienced a lot of love in their lives, and probably never will. To be honest, no one knows what Gods goals are, or what God is at all, and where does God come from?

If you would rather be enlightened, sounds great. Go for it! God wants you to be enlightened too. And if God is everything, than we are God too, so start creating: good or bad you shall receive.
